THE SHIP IS SINKING

If you can't see that this ship is sinking then you're one of those rain-coloured people who say that the issues we’re currently facing in this country don’t exist, ‘They aren’t there, we know that they aren’t there, and if they are there, it doesn’t matter, because we’re here and we don’t live in that sort of world. Our world is germproof. It’s hygienic, deodorized and sellotaped.’ 

You see, in years to come, when our ship is at the bottom of the ocean, you will never, ever approach us and say, ‘Well golly gosh, you were right all along! I wish I’d stood with you back in 2024.’ 

Instead, even though you only have yourself to blame, you’ll probably blame the patriotic working-class, the descendants of the Ænglo-Saxons, and say it's all the fault of the far-right, without any more understanding than me of what it means to be far-right, because when our ship finally sinks you will, I guarantee you, claim that nobody warned you.
