Plastics and Dementia

We all do it, and we think we’re doing good, but plastic recycling is neither chemically nor financially feasible.

The recycling of plastic was invented by the plastic corporations to put the responsibility onto the consumer …. so it’s our fault.

I read a note by a geezer who worked for a large rubbish company for 15 years. He admitted that they used to haul shipping-size containers to the landfill, and inside the containers was plastic ‘recycling’ that was contaminated. You see, our opinion is that they have systems for washing it, melting it down and re-using it. In fact, most of us wash half the plastic before putting it in the recycling bin

Makes no difference. This geezer says that all it takes for one fully-loaded shipping-size container to become contaminated, in other words there’s just one small tub with food or other rubbish in, and they mark it for the landfill. They won’t wash it because it’s too much wasted water, sand that affects their carbon footprint. In fact, there are some suburbs they won’t even accept loads from because a number of people who live there are scumbags – and they certainly know where it comes from because of the Waste Transfer Note, which is a legal document detailing the transferring non-hazardous waste by a licensed waste carrier

He said if someone puts even a coloured bottle in the wrong bank, they'd scrap and landfill the whole skip. These places have recycling quotas pinned up on the wall, but that’s only for the public. They don’t really mean anything.

You see, once China stopped buying recycled plastic, no other country wanted it. All our government cares about are the carbon credits. They don’t care what happens to the plastic once it leaves our shores. So, it just gets dumped because nobody wants it.

And the Great Pacific Garbage Patch - seven million tons of plastic waste located in the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and California – at 620,000 square miles is now three times the size of France. It’s so fucking big that if you tried to clean up 1% of it, it would take 67 ships one year for just that portion. It is now so big that a Declaration of Independence was submitted to the United Nations to seek recognition of the Trash Isles as an official country in its own right!!!

The plastic shower gel bottle or soap bottle, or the plastic in your computer or phonre, or in your coat, or in the seats of your car, or the plastic in the engine, will still be around once your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandkids are long dead and buried in the ground.

And no one’s talking about the fact that not only do we drink out of plastic water bottles, but all our copper pipes have been replaced with plastic ones, causing microplastics to leach into our water supply. Microplastics are now in our bones even! They have been found in bodily fluids from saliva and blood to breast milk, along with an array of organs including the liver, kidneys, spleen, heart and brain even!

So what? Well, did you know that those who have been diagnosed with dementia prior to their death had up to ten times as much plastic in their brains compared to those without the condition?

Our bodies don’t break it down, and they’ve found a direct causative link between microplastics and dementia, not to mention heart disease.

Plastic pollution is so widespread now that is it even finding its way into fruit and vegetables as they grow. And most of the food from the supermarket is wrapped in plastic. So, we think we’re feeding our kids a healthy diet, but it’s stunting their growth.
