Digital I.D. and 15-Minute Cities

So last night we were invited round to our neighbours in the next close. They were going to invite the whole street, but then they realised that no one likes them and no one talks to them, so they just invited us

Anyway, the conversation turned to digital I.D. and Chloe-may said she thinks it's a good idea!!! WTF!!! How can anyone think it's a good idea to digitalise your I.D. so that the government can keep a track on every area of your life (they're not trying to track migrants, you know, they want to track you) and hackers can have access to your money???

Chloe-May asked me to explain, so keeping it simple I told her that they can't introduce Central Bank Digital Currency (in other words a Cashless Society) without digital I.D. first being in place, and the two will be so closely interwoven that they will be Inextricably linked, and they are both hackable .... as has been proven this month.

Imagine paedophile hackers tracking & tracing vulnerable children through their digital I.D. and through biometric facial recognition cameras, which are already being installed and which are also hackable. And kids will accept digital I.D. quicker than adults because they love anything to do with their phones and they're not as aware as adults. A thought I find quite chilling.

Anyway, putting the issue of vulnerable children aside for a minute, once digital I.D. and CBDC are in place we're within spitting distance of Social Credit Scoring, like they already have in China.

Keir Starmer, of course, was linked to communist youth groups at university, citing his involvement in a Trotskyist group known as the Labour Party Young Socialists, which has fueled speculation about his real political leanings. Either way, you can see how Social Credit Scoring would appeal to someone like Starmer, who actually worked in the Eastern Bloc as a student. And he's going to be visiting China next month, Jan 29-31 2026

How does it work? Well, in China people are scored on a scale of 350-950, and thanks to inroads in biometric mapping out facial features and a network of 200 million surveillance cameras, its Big Data meets Big Brother, widening the scope of how the Chinese government monitors and ultimately controls the people.

They have Information Collectors (or grasses to you and I) who are paid to report on their neighbours, often with a quota of a number of reports a month. Which, when you come to think about it, is exactly how the Gestapo started. People’s scores are docked for littering, messy gardens, or even falling in love with your neighbour’s wife, yearning to possess her, coveting her as the Bible terms it. But a good social credit score gets rewarded by the use of cheaper loans from the bank and better travel deals. A poor score, however, can mean you’re banned from travelling on certain buses and trains, or it could make it hard to get a job or put your kids into the school of your choice. Even criticism of the Social Credit System can dock your score

Un-fucking-believable, huh?

Just imagine the power these Information Collectors have! Imagine if they reported you as being racist because they didn’t like something you said. Imagine two of you are in line for promotion at work, but your opposition is an Information Collector! Just imagine the damage she could do to your chances of securing the job. She could, for instance, report to central control that you were seen shoplifting, and your score goes down. You wouldn’t be arrested because there’s no evidence, but your score would still be reduced. In other words, it becomes a Witch hunt.

Virtually everything about you will be known. Where you go, who you're with, which pubs you frequent, what football team you support, when and why you see your doctor – it’s a data free-for-all! Any incidents of what could be called rowdiness at football, any loud conversations in the pub about the political party of your choice, any swearing at another driver, can all be reported by an Information Collector, leaving you with food rationing, less water, less electricity, less heating and little chance of a holiday. The lower your credit score, the less of the above you’ll be permitted.

Your Social Credit Score could be checked before you enter a pub or restaurant, and you could be barred entry. And its all sold to the people as a means of helping them build creditworthiness

But guess what!! It’s all for sale. For just a little cash your boss, your wife, your neighbour, or business competition can buy the inside scope on your whole life. No questions asked.

Now Starmer won't call it Social Credit Scoring, of course. He'll call it Carbon Credits, but it's the same thing. And just out of interest the opinion coming out of China about Starmer's plans are that the Chinese Communist Party sees his plans as far more harsh and severe than their own system.

It could be that a poor score means you're not allowed outside your 15-minute city ..... OH, didn't I mention that? Well, a 15-minute city means you must work and socialise within 15 minutes of your home. You'll need special permission to move outside what I call your reservation. During Lockdown, as a construction worker I had to carry a letter proving I worked in the industry in case I was stopped on the Tube or whilst driving. Well, it will be the same thing. And they will know, of course, because of the biometric facial recognition cameras they're currently installing, which will be linked to your digital I.D. At which stage you will be beyond screwed.

Digital I.D. will lead to the end of civilisation as we know it. Doomsday, if you like. Do you think I'm crazy? Of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. Just because some of this information is new to Chloe-may, that doesn't mean it's a Conspiracy Theory. Maybe I just see something that Chloe-may doesn't. Maybe I've learned something she hasn't learned yet. Maybe I understand a pattern she doesn't see yet. Maybe, just maybe, I'm not crazy after all. Maybe I'm actually seeing through the propaganda and - even in the face of ridicule - trying (probably quite poorly) to translate it for her.

All we can do is warn them. And if they won't listen, then move on and warn others who will listen
